I love one hat, but the pom pom from another – can I switch?
Absolutely. All our pom poms are removable so that they can be easily washed. (see next question below). All poms are simply tied securely around a button on the inside of the hat, and to remove just untie it. If you wish a different pom than the one shown on the product page, just leave a note at check out.
How do I clean my handmade items?
It is best to wash all your handmade knit wear items by hand and lay flat to dry. HOWEVER, I know that no one has time for that (myself included ) – so I HAVE put them in the washer on delicate, but this is not best for them (just best for my lifestyle). ALWAYS take off the pom pom by simply untying it. All children’s and adult hats have a button sewing on the inside so that the pom pom is easy to thread through, and simply tie securely around the button again after item has air dried.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
As I juggle Northshore between life as a mom, wife, student and other work – I will do my best to get your orders out as soon as possible. My current turn around time is one week, but will increase during busy seasons. I will always keep you up to date on our home page on current turn around. For orders in stock, they will be shipped in 2-3 business days.

What if I change my mind?
Please message us within 1 week of receiving your item, and we will do our best to make it right. Exchange or refund will be arranged when all items are returned in original condition. We always suggest seeing our sizing page for all bootie sizing. Our hats have a slightly slouchier fit that allow for growth. For a non-slouchy, tighter style, consider ordering a size smaller. (Eg. Adults who prefer a tighter hat, please order a child’s size.)
Do you make all your items?
I hand make most pieces either by knitting or crochet in our pet-free and smoke-free home (sorry not kid free!) I do have some help with items during our busier season. I have friends who help to sew on tags, my mom who knits our kids hikers and my husband who most often makes all our fluffy pom poms. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our items, no two will be exactly alike, but we will do our best to address any discrepancies from the pictures shown.
